Store Sales Policy

 

Exchange Policy: If for any reason you are not satisfied or your plans change and you wish to return an item you purchased, you may do so within 30 days of its purchase and we will credit your purchase amounts towards any item or service of equal or greater value. If you wish to cancel your layaway or planned purchase, you may do so within 30 days of your initial deposit, and we will credit your total deposit amount towards an item or service of equal or greater value.  We work hard for our customers. When monies are placed on deposit or items are purchased, a process begins, services are rendered, and mutual trust begins. Only undamaged items that are returned in their original condition will be accepted for exchange. Custom made, engraved, or special orders cannot be exchanged.

 

Return/Refund Policy: Items ordered via the telephone, facsimile, or over the internet, sight unseen or viewed only by image, may be returned in their original condition within 10 days after you or your agent receives the item(s) for a complete refund if you are not satisfied for any reason. The returned item(s) must be shipped back to us along with the original packaging, at your expense, to the address on the invoice via The United States Postal Service registered and insured for the full amount of the invoiced item(s). Please keep your postal receipts in case of loss. You are liable for the full amount until we accept return of the item(s). We will refund in total any deposited monies if an item is unavailable or a job is not possible to do. Items ordered via the telephone, facsimile, or over the internet, which are in stock items at Bishops Jewelry Store, may be returned in their original condition within 10 days after you or your agent receives the item(s), for a complete refund if you are not satisfied for any reason, excluding Custom, Special orders, or modified (sized, etc) items. All Custom and Special Orders cannot be returned for refund or credit. In Stock Items that are requested for modification including sizing, are final sales.

 

Replacement Policy: We will repair or replace at our discretion any item that we determine to contain a factory/manufacturing defect, at our expense, that is not caused by normal wear or abuse.

 

Ring Sizing: Bishop’s offers a one-time single size adjustment for any ring, priced over $200, within 30 days of purchase. If you require more than a two size adjustment, there will be an additional small charge, or if it is not practical or possible to resize, because of the ring styling, then it will have to be created or ordered in your size, at our current retail price, for that size of ring. Please take care in figuring your perfect finger size. We will help you with this, but it is you who will be wearing it, and you who makes the final sizing decision. If you need to be resized a second time it will be at our regular ring sizing price.

 

Upgrade Policy: Bishop’s Jewelry wishes to see our customers in bigger, better, and more brilliant diamonds.  To this end, we offer you a 100% return of your purchased price, of the major diamond stone of 1/10thcarat or larger, that were purchased from us, towards an upgraded diamond of a higher dollar amount.  The only cost to you is the increase in cost between your old diamond and the new upgraded diamond, the cost of removing the old diamond, the setting of the new diamond, and any additional costs if you require a complete new setting and/or new mounting (for a larger or alternative shaped stone). The returned diamond must be undamaged and in its original purchased condition.

 

Recommendations: We can only insure that your purchase has been inspected and determined to be in good condition prior to leaving our store.  Please take the time to inspect your selection for any loose or damaged stones and or other possible defects; if you require better lighting, a magnifying glass, loupe, or the use of a microscope, please do not hesitate to ask for our assistance in supplying any of these or other items to aid you in your inspection. Your complete satisfaction with your purchases is our desire, and your inspection is our protection.  Please stop by any time for a free cleaning and inspection at no charge.  Always check prongs on your stones every couple months to make sure they are securely holding your stones.

 

Insurance:Bishop’s recommends, for your protection against loss, a scheduled personal property endorsement be added to your home owners/renters policy, which you acquire from your insurer, for full replacement value of your purchases against any future damaged, lost, or stolen items of jewelry.

 

Gemstone Treatments: There are many treatments/enhancements done to some gemstones; most are usual and customary and tend to be of a permanent nature, and others are not. Please ask your salesperson for information and or pamphlets regarding any possible treatments/enhancements that may have been done to your selections.
